Glance on Seerat Un Nabi PBUH
The concept of having an ideal example is a norm. We search for the best among the available options but in actual, we seldom come across something or someone as close as ideal. For Muslims, the terminology ideal has a profound meaning. The most ideal and loved personality is of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He is the last messenger from Allah Almighty and no other messenger will be sent to the world after him. He is given the title of “Blessing for all the worlds”. The angels praise him. His spirit was the first creation among all the beings in the universe. Allah loves him, and it is an obligation upon each and every Muslim to love him more than everything. There must be some reason to love someone, and in this case we can understand it by having a glance at his life.
Seerat Un Nabi (PBUH) is the life and attributes of Prophet Muhammad. He was born to Abdullah and Amena as their first child. Unfortunately, his father had died before his birth and it became the duty of his mother to tend for him. Allah Almighty puts his loved ones in to tests often, as the orphaned Muhammad also lost his mother at a tender age of 6 years. His responsibility fell on the shoulders of his paternal grandfather Abdul Mutlib. The events took another tragic turn when the loving grandfather also passed away when Muhammad was only 8 years of age. It was Abu Talib, his uncle who took him as his son and raised him.
Muhammad was a quiet and innocent child. As an adult, he used to pray alone in a cave. There he had the first revelation when Gabriel came to him and presented him with the few verses from Holy Quran. After that day it became a norm. When the right time came, he started preaching Islam to the fellow people of Arab. They showed intolerance towards him despite knowing that he was a truthful person. They threw garbage on him and never missed any chance to discourage him from spreading Islam. Muhammad was farsighted as he knew that the people had their eyes covered in darkness so he showed utmost tolerance towards them.
There was an elderly woman who hated him so much that she used to throw garbage at him. She got ill and hence could not do that for few days. Muhammad came to her home and asked why was she not doing it? When he saw her suffering, he took care of her. His tolerance and caring attitude changed the mind of the woman and as a result she embraced Islam. Similarly, he stopped Gabriel from destroying the city of Taif despite their harsh attitude.
Muhammad and his companions fought bravely in the wars, but never showed animosity towards the captives. They were lenient toward the aged, children and females. Equality and justice prevailed during their tenure. The wise decisions and implementation of the Sharia Law paved the way for an ideal Islamic society.
The triumph of Mecca was the final achievement and the sermon at Kaaba revealed that the complete knowledge of Islam was given. There will not be any further amendments in the Muslim Sharia after that. The Muslims should never astray from the true path and learn from Seerat Un Nabi (PBUH).
