Prophet Muhammed (SAW) – The Paramount Example for Mankind
This world was enlightened by the intelligence, strength of character and dignity of Prophet Muhammed (SAW). Before he came into this world, the place of Arabia was indulged in the most heinous crimes. Arabs used to busy their daughters alive and women had no respect. Women were treated harshly and had no status. Women and slaves were the most oppressed class. There was adultery and intoxication everywhere and no rule of law. The land of Arabia experienced the most dark ages of all times. This period in Arabian history is the most sad and unfortunate one.
With the arrival of Prophet Muhammed (SAW), the ways of the people started changing. Prophet Muhammed (SAW) brought the message of One God. He emphasized the importance of worshipping one God and asked his people to stop idol worship. His followers in the beginning were few but soon his message began to spread widely. The main reason which made people believe in the divinity of Allah was his truthfulness and trustworthiness. Muhammed (SAW) was the most truthful and the most trustworthy person who ever existed in the face of this earth. He had these traits ever since he was born. People used to keep their belongings with him so that he would take care of them and he never let them down. When he brought the message of Islam, people always thought that he cant lie but they were not ready to give up their old ways. Muhammed (SAW) set an example for mankind to be truthful and trustworthy. A truthful and trustworthy person never fails in life.
Prophet Muhammed (SAW) was honest in his dealings. He always traded with honesty and was always fair. He used to trade on behalf of an elderly woman Khadija and he never let her down. She was so impressed by his honesty and fair dealings that she sent a marriage proposal for him which he accepted after consulting him elders. He was a very devoted and kind husband. He used to do household chores himself.
He used to mend his shoes and stitch his clothes. He never felt degraded by doing these things and had no ego which would not let him do all this. He treated his wives well and never burdened them with their household duties. He has set a perfect example for husbands to follow so that everybody’s marital life becomes bliss. These days no body is willing to take up tasks which Muhammed (SAW) set 1400 years ago. This is the main reason marital relationships are suffering to a large extent. His kindness was the key factor which brought peace in his marriage. He was not short tempered like most of people today. He never used to abuse his wives or disrespect them.
Prophet Muhammed (SAW) was a complete gentleman in all the matters of life. He laid certain principles and rules which were told by Allah to be followed by every Muslim. These rules are important are they make one’s life peaceful and prosperous. A true Muslim is the one who follows the rules told by the Prophet (SAW) and obeys them blindly.
