Their deities were adorned in gold and ornaments but the poor were not given enough food. The power lied in the hands of the rich. The concept of slavery was common and the people were bought like commodities from the market. The birth of female child was extremely discouraged. They were killed and sometimes buried alive. There was no mercy for the weak and poor, only the rich people had survival.
