Seerat un Nabi (PBUH): A Precise Review
Muslims have complete faith on the divine Holy Quran, Angels and Messengers. They must devote their lives to the Almighty Allah and live according to the principles of Islamic Sharia. The basis of sharia is the Quran which is described beautifully by the Sunnah. Sunnah corresponds to the sayings of Prophet Muhammad who is the last and final messenger from Allah. There will not be any amendments in the Sharia as it is the completion of Islam. Anyone who disagrees with this concept is a disbeliever.
The life and sayings of the Muhammad are commonly referred as Seerat un Nabi (PBUH). It embraces all the aspects of a human and it is a perfect example of how a person should behave in life. Whatever the circumstances may be, it shows the correct adherence to the values of Islam. He always displayed tolerance and patience in the hardest of times. There are several examples from his life that the enemies turned in to the best of the friends due to the beautiful set of etiquettes.
Prophet Muhammad was born in the darkest hours of the arab society. They had forgotten the values taught by the previous messengers. They prayed for mercy before the statues made with stones. Their deities were adorned in gold and ornaments but the poor were not given enough food. The power lied in the hands of the rich. The concept of slavery was common and the people were bought like commodities from the market. The birth of female child was extremely discouraged. They were killed and sometimes buried alive. There was no mercy for the weak and poor, only the rich people had survival.
Then came the time when Muhammad was born, the world was about to see a major change in the society. He has the first revelation from Allah when he was 40. He started preaching according to the messages brought by Archangel Gabriel. He faced enormous pressure from the fellow arabs, including his own family members. Despite having the title of Trustworthy and Honest, no one agreed on embracing the Islam. He and his close companions had to face great retaliation from the disbelievers, so much that they had to migrate towards Medina. There an ideal Islamic society was founded which had the Sharia Law as the basic statute. The ethics related to each and every aspect of life including education, social, justice, equality, etiquettes and tolerance formed the basis of Islamic society under the administration of Muhammad.
The non believers were not at ease to let their enemies succeed in spreading the words of Islam. They fought several wars with the muslims. It was Muhammad who never let the moral of his people to fell down and as a result it was the Muslims who triumphed. The Seerat un Nabi (PBUH) has multiple anecdotes which elaborate the rise of Islam from the ashes. It is a story of a brave, truthful, strong willed, wise and kind hearted person who triumphed in the end.
