Understand Muslim Sharia for a Better Life
The total population of the world has exceeded 7 Billion humans. The people follow multiple religions which include Islam as the second most common religion. The followers of Islam are known as “Muslims” and they are given a proper code of conduct according to which they live their lives. Muslim Sharia corresponds to the set of principles which should be followed by the Muslims in their daily life. We need guidance in every part of life i.e. etiquettes, decision making, justice, values and moral etc. In Islam, the governing code is based on two main sources. Quran is the foremost source of Sharia, and Sunnah follows it.
Quran is the Holy book of the Muslims which took almost 23 years to be compiled as whole. It has 114 chapters and each of the chapter deals with the aspects related to the human beings. The topic of the Quran is “Man”, and the verses in this holy book give the instructions to live the life according to Islam. The second source is “Sunnah”. It corresponds to the sayings of the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which are the descriptions of the verses of Quran. The best way to judge the authenticity of Sunnah is to match the lesson with the Holy Book; if it favors it then follow it without reluctance.
The other sources of Muslim Sharia include Ijma and Qiyaas. Ijma refers to the collective consensus of the authentic Muslim scholars, whereas Qiyaas is the analogical deductions with Quran as the reference. They should be consulted only if the foremost mentioned sources need elaboration. Islam prohibits any faith which does not synchronize with Quran and Sunnah.
The laws of the Islam cater the women in an elaborate manner. They are given complete respect by the state and the governing laws ensure that they do not face any hindrance in playing a vital role in progress of the state. They are allowed to seek education as per their own choice, marry according to their own consent and are given share in the inheritance too. As per sharia, they can do any task which does not negate the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
The wars create a catastrophe like no other thing can. Islam is such an elaborative religion that a code of conduct is devised to deal with the war conditions as well. It is against the law to kill innocent children, women and elderly civilians during a war. Even the plants and properties should not be demolished. Such is the beauty of Islam that the mercy is for everyone.
Muslim Sharia deals with all the laws related to the human life. The social, marital, judicial, economical, administration and every type of decision making is described by the set of laws. The most significant aspect is to consider each individual equal before the law. No discrimination is allowed on the basis of race, color, creed, wealth and social status. A concept of equality is clearly mentioned; however none of the Muslim majority country is following the exact model completely.
